 Air app crashes on Mac
Hello,
I have this app that crashes only when used on Mac. On Windows, it runs fine.
The really odd thing is that I put together a demo app for the client and it ran just fine.
I've triple checked all the basic settings; Flex SDK, Air version. Everything compiles fine and creates the Air file.
Is there something in the basic configuration of an Air that I need to set so it can run on Mac as well?
take care, lee

Re: Air app crashes on Mac
Perhaps there are Windows native calls being made?

Re: Air app crashes on Mac
Hello,
You can make native Windows calls from Air? I didn't know that....but even more...why would you want to?
No, it is not as simple as that. I have just used Flex and FlashDevelop to write an Air app intended to work on both windows and Mac.
I'm getting desperate here.
I tried filing a bug report because it seemed to me that if the app works on Windows, it should work on Mac. And, of course, there is the demo I originally wrote that works fine on both. So it seems to me it must be something in the runtime Adobe provides.
Funny thing with Adobe. They bumped the priority of the bug to 3 - High and asked for the source code. I sent the code, which is not very extensive. They responded saying they have 'limited resources to look into the source code'. What does that mean? I think maybe because it was not a Flex Builder project, they don't want to mess with it.
Anyway. I have the source code from when the project was young and not working on Mac. I'll happily pay someone here to look at the source code on Mac and determine where the crash is happening. Adobe said they would look at it more closely if I could accomplish pointing out where the crash happens.
If anyone is interested, you can email me at kleelof @ Y!.
