 Re: FD4- Debugger is not starting I am download 32 bit java runtime 1.6, install it on XP64. Set JAVA_HOME 'D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6', reboot CPU, and debugger now work.

Re: FD4- Debugger is not starting I've fixed this by copying msvcr71.dll to Flashdevelop folder. Copying to Windows/System32 is the same but not as clean.

Re: FD4- Debugger is not starting @sokolfreak tried what you describe and it worked (same SDK but with AIR project) - had a breakpoint in the code and stepped without problem in Flex framework source.

I haven't find the way to solve this problem from many "Chinese-page".
My English is so poor.

yes, msvcr71.dll is the key.
Copy msvcr71.dll to %System%/Windows/system32, then the error disappear.

He had Java 7 (installed with Win8) on his machine.
We put Java 6 (1.6) on and it worked fine.

I try manually connecting in flash player even.. but flash player debug cant establish a connection ... Done(0) I even uninstalled JRE reinstalled rebooted etc. Tried the fix with msvcr71.dll but still no luck. Also trace also doesn't work Any suggestions? this is driving me insane.. I've been at it for days! Thanks PS: trace also doesnt work Notes: Its an AS3 project. My flash IDE Debugger works fine.. even remotely so cant be my firewall? I am definitely having a debug player to test.. because i click the debugger option in the context menu. i even tried entering manual ip of 127.0.0.1 still no luck.. it says debugger can't establish a connection with flash player. and that little progress bar in FD4 keeps going on slowly on the bottom right. when i run this swf thats generated with a debug remote session in my FLASH CS5.5 IDE it debugs fine and gets traces. (So def no network problem) i did netsat when FD4 debugger is running and 127.0.0.1:1978 is listening so what could be the problem? why cant the debug player connect with the debugger? tried reinstalling restarting and all still no luck please help this is driving me nuts for many days now

Re: FD4- Debugger is not starting The progress bar indicates that FD4 could start the debugger so it shouldn't be a problem with java/dlls.
However '127.0.0.1:1978' is FlashConnect socket - not the debugger.
Did you try deleting your mm.cfg?
Does FD3 work? you can try a standalone install.

I reinstalled in standalone.. still no luck Tried with without multi instance mode as well. .still no luck Edit: I just tried connecting FDB.exe with the run command that also doesn't work. What could be the problem? Edit2: even tried disabling ipv6 protocol and all (though i was only using ipv4) Edit 3: also if its any help, the Flash IDE debugger works .. when i run it.. and am not running it when FD debugger is on
