I was surprised when I was not able to click in the watch window and type variable names. For a while I thought maybe it was broken, but someone told me you could only move things from locals to Watch and couldn't enter in variables. It would be fantastic to be able to type in any names and inspect their values. Not everything I want to look at is defined in the local scope. (I also have a hope that this would allow me to view class static members of classes in other scopes).

I'm waiting for this 2 years.
And need ability to add the expression. For example need to monitoring variable in multidimensional arrays. Why we must add to watch all Array, when we need only one variable myArray[0][10][50]? Or myArray[x][y][z].
Also Flashdevelop can't remember watches and nees to add them to the window every debug session.

Unfortunately in the version 4.0.1 is changed nothing of this.

I thought FD used to have this? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Yeah, this is a big need. It seems like FD development has slowed down a lot lately..

We had a quiet start of the year due to our work load but we are now again back to normal Next up after 4.0.2 is 4.1 with new things.
