Hi
Is it possible to integrate a export Entry for sub-projects in the Project Panel?
For as3proj there is a Entry for right Mouse button "Build Project File" in FD 3.01. I have a Project where it would be useful to have an Entry "Build swc from Project File".

Why?
The Structure:
Code:
player
-bin
-lib
 -skin
   -bin
   -lib
   -src
   skin.as3proj
   skin.swc
-src
player.as3proj

At the Moment i must switch between skin an player project. The skin project is only for importing assets (svg, png etc.) If i change an asset (like svg file) it would be really useful to export the swc with the right Mousebutton.
In this structure it is possible to have different skins or give the skin project to a designer who is able to press the "export to swc" button ;-)

I'm sure that i'm not the only one who likes this functionality.

thanks thomas

Hi,

@thomas:
this feature is already on our wish list - hopefully we manage to implement this.

@flashlizi:
hm...unfortunately I can't test it (Flash IDE is way too expensive for my wallet ;) ). But could you please file a bugreport on our sourceforge site (so we have all the requests on one point):

Hi,

I just released a minor update for those of you encountering problems with absolute class paths. Now MXML files are included in the SWC too.
Download Vers. 1.1.0.36859

Hi,
I am trying to create an SWC of a project that works and compiles OK (in an SWF). The thing is that when I compile the swc I get this errors:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\sdks\3.2.0\bin\compc.exe" -load-config+="C:\Martin\003 - FDProjects\mflVideo\obj\mflVideo.flex.compc.xml"
com\mfl\videoPlayer\VideoPreloader_BufferingText.as(10): col: 59 Error: La définition de la classe de base BitmapAsset est introuvable.

public class VideoPreloader_BufferingText extends mx.core.BitmapAsset
                                                          ^

com\mfl\videoPlayer\ControlBar_MuteIcon.as(10): col: 50 Error: La définition de la classe de base BitmapAsset est introuvable.

public class ControlBar_MuteIcon extends mx.core.BitmapAsset
                                                 ^

com\mfl\videoPlayer\ControlBar_PauseIcon.as(10): col: 51 Error: La définition de la classe de base BitmapAsset est introuvable.

public class ControlBar_PauseIcon extends mx.core.BitmapAsset
                                                  ^

com\mfl\videoPlayer\ControlBar_PlayIcon.as(10): col: 50 Error: La définition de la classe de base BitmapAsset est introuvable.

public class ControlBar_PlayIcon extends mx.core.BitmapAsset
                                                 ^

com\mfl\videoPlayer\ControlBar_SoundIcon.as(10): col: 51 Error: La définition de la classe de base BitmapAsset est introuvable.

public class ControlBar_SoundIcon extends mx.core.BitmapAsset
                                                  ^

Build failed (5).

It's like it can't found mx.core.BitmapAsset ... I am using Embed tags... but I have no problem with them when compiling just an SWF with Flash Develop...

Odd,

Thanks

About "mx.core.BitmapAsset":

Maybe that's a problem with ASDocs arguments: what does the command look?
If you don't use "+=" to add SWCs to the command line you prevent ASDoc from automatically locating the basic SWCs from the SDK.

I don't understand your question...
I am trying to compile a SWC witht ExportSWC plugin, and I do not use any special command, or add any SWC to the command Line.
I do not see how ASDocs arguments come into play here... AFAIK the plugin does not allow custom parameters to the compiler...does it?

Thanks

Hi Martin,

as the package indicates it's a class of the Flex framework. To compile a SWC with flexclasses you must manually add the flex SWCs by hand -> <flexSDKLocation>\frameworks\libs and <flexSDKLocation>\frameworks\locale

For BitmapAsset i.e. you need the flex.swc file. Add it to you library (right click SWC and "Add to Library") and it should do the job ;)

I know, the plugin should automatically resolve those those SWCs but...haven't had time yet :(

thanks, it works now :)It wasn't obvious that I needed to add that SWC...
Thanks for this plugin.

Cheers,

Martín

I have a quick question about ExportSWC:

Is there a way to reference and use it from another plugin? I'm thinking it might be nice to integrate SWC packaging as an option in ExportProject. Basically, I already support global classpath merging, but I'm thinking it would be cool to be able to package the global classes in an SWC instead as an option. For one, it would keep these classes from being edited or being confused with the local project files, but it also might discourage others from taking the source code from global classes and reusing them. Of course they could reuse the SWC in other projects, but it would at least discourage developers who are still using Flash to compile their projects.

Thanks!

This project looks great! I would love to see it packaged in the next release of FlashDevelop, it's a must-have!

I'm trying to compile a SWC targeted for Flash Player 10 as well. I'm using types like Vector, which don't work with 9. Could anyone please advise on how to target the SWC compile for Flash Player 10?

Hi,

I've updated the SVN.
- FlashPlayer 10 Support
- External Libraries Support

Unfortunately SourceForge seems to have some problems so I can't offer a binary release.

I hope those of you urgently needing this file are able to compile it from SVN...
