This is an old version of the program, please check the releases page for the latest version.

This is the release that we all have been waiting for. It includes some bug fixes and small improvements. No new features thought.

We are now focusing to bring you an even better ide, FlashDevelop 3.0.

Patch:
Patch solving the tracing issues (unzip in FlashDevelop Plugins folder).

If you are upgrading:
Select "Upgrade" from the installer dropdown list or disable the "Default Settings" checkbox to keep your personal setting/snippets.

Additional plugins:
- Help Panel, local & online help search,
- FlashBuild, ANT-like automation (automate MTASC and/or command line applications),
- GENiAS, Code Generator for ActionScript (very usefull for component developers).

* About Swfmill
FlashDevelop uses Swfmill to build SWF files without the Adobe Flash IDE. The setup may not include the latest version of Swfmill so it is advised to check Swfmill website for new releases (ie. Swfmill pre-release builds).

Activating AS3 completion*

- Download the AS3 intrinsic classes,
- add these classes to your project classpath.

* doesn't support (ignores) package-level members, namespaces and private classes.

Activating MXML completion

- Download the MXML definition file,
- unzip into C:\Program Files\FlashDevelop\Data\

Adobe Flex2 compiler integration

- Keith Peters' ANT-based project templates (updated),
- unzip into C:\Program Files\FlashDevelop\Data\ProjectTemplates\
- to run ANT with a toolbar button, edit \Settings\ToolBar.xml:

Known bugs

These bugs are already fixed in the SVN repository:

- An annoying bug was introduced in this release: the results panel now doesn't capture error/trace messages when the urls are relative.
You can download a patched DLL solving the tracing issues (unzip in FlashDevelop Plugins folder).

- The Strip Trailing Spaces option doesn't remove trailing tabs.

- Project panel: when editing file names, pressing Delete key pops the file suppression confirmation dialog.


This bug has to be confirmed:

- Files panel: when editing file names, you can not copy/paste text in the field.
